The CEO Round tables consist of fifteen to eighteen CEO’s and key decision makers are brought together from Louisiana-based small businesses 10 times throughout the year for collaborative, growth-oriented and coaching sessions. It is a supportive and trusting environment in which CEOs can safely explore both business and personal issues and share best practices.

About Mark

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College and an MBA in Marketing from Tulane University.

In 1981, Mark started at IBM as an account systems representative and moved into management where he developed strategies for lead generation.

While at IBM, Mark’s achievements included the Rookie of the Year in the Southern Region and the Golden Circle award. Mark voluntarily left IBM in 1994 to form Communiqué, a New Orleans-based Internet Service Provider (ISP).

In 1994 Mark became co-founder and President of Communiqué, a New Orleans-based Internet Service Provider (ISP). With a focus on small to medium-size businesses, Communiqué achieved 10,000 users before being purchased in 1997.

In 1994, Mark created the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) with a goal to make Louisiana the technology capital of the South. He served as LTC’s President for 10 years.

Since 2014, Mark has moderated three CEO round tables whereby fifteen to eighteen CEOs participate in Leadership Round Tables. As a result, he has developed a CEO Playbook for leadership coaches.

In 2011, Mark initiated the IT Symposium and has continued his influence as a technology leader. For the past twelve years, Mark appeared live on WWLTV’s monthly TV program called “Digital Gumbo”, which provided the latest developments in technology advancements; and helped to promote local technology companies throughout the region. He has also participated in numerous panel discussions
throughout his career in entrepreneurship and technology.

In 2005, Mark was selected by the Governor’s office as Technology Leader of the Year for the State of Louisiana. Through his leadership, Louisiana became one of the top three states in the country for technology jobs and wage growth.  For nearly a decade, he served as the Project Coordinator for Louisiana’s largest Annual IT Symposium.

In 2014, Mark became a member of the Entrepreneurial Organization (EO) of Louisiana and immediately became a
Board member as its Strategic Alliance Chair. In 2018, Mark became EO of Louisiana’s Board Membership Chair
and helped EO of Louisiana become the fastest-growing EO Chapter in the country. In July 2019, EO of Louisiana presented Mark with its Marshall Klein Entrepreneur of the Year Award for his work in helping EO of Louisiana become the fastest-growing entrepreneurial chapter in the world!
